About Handweavers Studio

Handweavers is a hugely successful and well-established business that first opened its doors in 1973. Today it’s currently in its third cycle of ownership and second physical location and is now run by Dawn and Alan Willey who took over at the ‘helm’ of Handweavers in April 2016. They work along with an enthusiastic team to maintain and develop the yarn, fibre and equipment ranges; and ensure that spinners and weavers of all types, can find the supplies, knowledge and inspiration they need to nurture and enhance the enjoyment of their crafts.

Handweavers joined Intelligent Retail in September of the same year with a clear plan to modernise and grow the business without losing its traditional background and history.
